MEAD, also known as honey wine, is the oldest alcoholic beverage in the world.
It's made from honey! 🍯
Most people know it for what the Vikings use to drink, but MEAD date back thousands of years. There was traces of MEAD found in ancient China, Europe and Africa. MEAD was also considered the nectar of the Gods.
Mead can range from dry to very sweet. Also, because honey has more fermentable sugar then grapes, it can have a higher ABV then wine.
Despite its historical decline, MEAD is currently experiencing a major craft revival. I encourage you to give MEAD a try and... CATCH THE BUZZ!
What’s inside The MEAD Cocktail Box?
Every quarter, you’ll receive a carefully curated box containing handcrafted mead along with items hand-picked to reflect a theme or feeling. These boxes will contain the mead, ingredients, and recipe for the MEAD Cocktail of the quarter. It will also include additional surprise items to complete the theme. PLUS surprises are always fun! Follow B&G Meadery on social media to catch sneak peeks and hints throughout the months, but the full details will stay a mystery.
Every MEAD Cocktail Box™ starts with a unique mead cocktail that reflects the theme of the quarter. Then other items are hand-picked to complement the main item. Each thoughtfully curated box includes an item that is fun, one that is functional, and one that is a total surprise. All boxes are packed and fulfilled in-house and any personalization will done by the B&G family.
The MEAD Cocktail Box™ contains 3-5 carefully selected items that may include:
- Handcrafted Mead – One 375ml jug of B&G’s handcrafted mead, including the ingredients and recipe for a unique mead cocktail. You will LOVE it!
- Drinkware – You may find a cute bottle, tumbler, mug, rock glass, or wine cup inside your box!
- Tees – We’re kind of obsessed with the logo and B&G t-shirts… and so are our customers! So don’t be surprised if we include a tee in the box.
- B&G Merch – Additional merch like wine openers, stopper/pourer, caps, and barware can be HUGE hits!
- Honey-bases Products – We love finding local vendors with unique honey-based products that add to the overall experience of the box!
- Inspiration – we are all about good vibes and making others feel good! Adding a little inspiration to some of our boxes is a perfect way to do just that!
